Registration is now open for the U.S. Counties along the Mexico Border Initiative's 3rd ANNUAL MEETING. This year's meeting will be held on August 2-3, 2011 at the Hotel El Encanto in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
This year's annual meeting will be a two-day event. Our central theme will address challenges that include addressing cultural competence in actions and responses that empower communities to improve the well being of special populations such as underserved Latinos, Native Americans and the growing number of individuals in the military communities.
Our tracks this year are in line with the new SAMHSA 8 Initiatives specifically the Border Initiative will be
1) Substance Abuse Prevention and 2) Trauma and Justice in relation to the U.S.-Mexico Border.
Continuing Education Hours will be provided.
The Hotel Encanto is the location of 2011 Annual Meeting.
