Training & TA Overview

The U.S. Counties along the Mexico Border Initiative team offers training and technical assistance services that address local needs and reduce substance abuse problems contiguous to U.S. counties along the Mexico Border. The goal of these trainings and other services is to increase the capacity of state and local prevention providers and the communities comprising those counties as they deliver effective evidence-based prevention services. Training services are available at no cost.
The Border Initiative will infuse the Strategic Prevention Framework by developing:
Border population profiles(Epidemiological needs assessments, identification of resources) for counties and    regions

Bilingual training materials (review, adapt and develop as needed).

Training methods that will enable the Initiative to accommodate the entire U.S.
Mexico Border region, including Web-based training and similar approaches.

Training programs include face to face training and distance learning via Internet based Webinars. We now offer trainings via remote sites, or locations hosting trainings to areas that may not be able to participate due to limiting issues such as geographical, or technical, that may be prohibiting them from gaining our services. For more information on remote sites please contact us directly.
